These are the major Roman gods and goddesses. They are very similar to the Greeks, since they adopted most of their gods and goddesses when they conquered them.
Apollo- God of music, healing, light and truth
Ceres- Goddess of agriculture, grain, crops, initiation, civilization. Protector of women, motherhood and marriage
Diana- Goddess of the moon, the hunt, nature, and fertility
Juno- Queen of the gods, protector of the roman state
Jupiter- King of the gods, god of the sky, lightning and thunder, patron god of Rome
Mars- God of war, terror, and anger
Mercury- God of trade, profit, merchants and travelers
Minerva- Goddess of wisdom, learning, and war
Neptune- God of the sea
Venus- Originally the goddess of gardens and vineyards, became the goddess of love and beauty
Vesta- Goddess of the fire and the hearth
Vulcan- God of fire, blacksmiths, and craftsmanship
